Mike Pompeo headed to the UAE on Thursday for talks with Abu Dhabi's crown prince after meeting Saudi Arabia's de facto ruler the day before to discuss how to respond to an attack on Saudi oil.

The U.S. Secretary of State has described the attack as an act of war, though U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday (September 18) struck a cautious note.

He said there were many options short of war with Iran, which denies involvement in the Sept.
