From festival season luxury to Dorian relief

A music festival company is taking its skills in luxury camping to the storm-hit Bahamas.

Shiftpods are a kind of air-conditioned tent with electricity outlets.

Insomniac, which runs the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas housed 25,000 people in them last year.

After seeing the destruction left by Hurricane Dorian the company's CEO sent down staff and hundreds of tents in the hopes of housing 5,000 people.

Insomniac's executive director Alyxzander Bear says its all worthwhile.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF PRODUCTION, INSOMNIAC, ALYXZANDER BEAR, SAYING: "I don't want to create any similarities but the smiles on people's faces from one of our events was the same smile on these people's faces when we were erecting these pods that they were so grateful and so thankful that they had something other than a canvas stretched across a couple of broken down trees." One pod houses six at a festival.

Baer says in the Bahamas one slept a family of eleven comfortably.

We literally build a city in Las Vegas.

We need to do that in the Bahamas." The effort will cost Insomniac over a million dollars... The company is trying to boost its efforts in the Bahamas with a GoFundMe page.
