Feds Nab Chinese National At Airport For Economic Espionage

A Chinese national was indicted on Thursday on charges of stealing trade secrets.

Reuters reports Haitao Xiang worked for Monsanto from 2008 to 2017, before it was purchased by Bayer AG.

Xiang was stopped by federal officials at a U.S. airport before he could board a flight to China.

The US Justice Department said the 42-year-old was carrying proprietary farming software.
