Ayanna Pressley Fights For Federal Contractors To Be Paid Back From 2018-2019 Government Shutdown

Rep.

Ayann Pressley is speaking out for federal contractors who are owed $1 billion in back pay.

According to Business Insider, federal contractors lost five weeks of pay during the 2018-2019 government shutdown.

She said: "There is a social cost, there is a human toll, there is a trauma that comes from this.” While President Donald Trump signed legislation to pay back federal employees, it didn’t apply to contractors.
