Former President Jimmy Carter was released from the hospital the day before Thanksgiving.

But soon after, Carter was admitted to another hospital over the holiday weekend.

The Carter Center said in a statement the cause for hospitalization was a urinary tract infection.

The center reported that Carter is β€œfeeling better and looks forward to returning home soon.” According to Reuters, some of his recent health scare were cause of falls that led to him having surgery.
