(SOUNDBITE) (Portuguese) FC PORTO COACH, SERGIO CONCEICAO, SAYING (ACCORDING TO OFFICIAL GERMAN TRANSLATION): "In all these discussions it's important not to lose the main point out of sight which is racism.

We as a team enjoy a very strong cohesion, we stick together and ultimately, we are all the same, no matter what colour of skin we have, how tall we are or what we look like.

We are all the same.

Now to the question how when other coaches comment on us, how they would have reacted: who knows?

This is the first time something like this happened in Portugal, that a player walked off the pitch.

We have no book, no instructions, how we should act?

We have instructions for many other things but for this, there are no instructions.

Right at that moment all we wanted to do is calm down Moussa Marega.

We wanted to calm down the situation.

That's what happened.

There were a lot of communication already, from the president and so on.

He would prefer for the issue to be over with now and that other topics could be discussed again." STORY: Porto forward Moussa Marega would like to leave the recent racial abuse he suffered during a Portuguese league match behind, his coach told reporters in Germany on Wednesday (February 19).

"He would prefer for the issue to be over with now and that other topics could be discussed again," said coach Sergio Conceicao.

Marega left the pitch in protest after being subject to racist insults during his side's 2-1 win away to Vitoria Guimaraes in Portugal's Primeira Liga on Sunday (February 16).

He was shown a yellow card for the reaction and after the abuse continued he tried to leave the pitch, pointing his thumbs down to the crowd, but was restrained by his team mates for a number of minutes.
