US Surgeon General Tells People To Stop Buying Medical Masks

President Donald Trump said the U.S. has access to 43 million medical masks to combat the coronavirus.

Yet, Vice President Mike Pence said there is no need for people in the U.S. to buy and wear masks.

According to Business Insider, the CDC does not recommend the average U.S. citizen wear masks.

U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams tweeted: “STOP BUYING MASKS.” He said it doesn’t prevent the general public from catching the virus but it can hurt healthcare providers.

Adams said if they don’t have masks they can’t care for sick patients, putting them and communities at risk.
