Pet chameleon shows how to wash hands during COVID-19 pandemic

A pet chameleon demonstrates how to wash hands during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The one-year-old lizard named Zeke from Hopkinsville, Kentucky, loves putting his little reptilian fingers into the stream of water from the tap.

His owner Elizabeth Poe used the colourful panther chameleon's adorable habit of trying to climb up the water to demonstrate how people can wash their hands to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Zeke put his hands together and looked like he was washing them in the kitchen sink on March 22.

Elizabeth said: "Zeke attempts to climb anything.

I held him up to a steady stream of water, and he kept attempting to grab it.

''This is him reminding everyone to wash their hands.''
