Vicar Stephen Beach accidentally set himself alight while recording a virtual sermon on Thursday (March 19).

Stephen Beach of St Budeaux parish church in Plymouth, southwest England was recording the online sermon from his home when the accident happened.

The amusing video shows Stephen talking to the camera and leaning into the burning candles, before finding his jumper on fire.

Luckily, Stephen was unharmed.

His niece shared the moment on Twitter with the caption: "My uncle is the vicar of St Budeaux Parish.

Last night he gave his online sermon and things got a bit hot under the (dog) collar.

Enjoy." The Church of England has suspended all services over coronavirus.
