One week ago Chickasaw county sheriff's deputy BJ Gladney lost his home in a fire.

But one week ago chickasaw county sheriff's deputy b j gladney lost his home in a fire.

Our bobby martinez talks with gladney and joins us live in the studio with more..

Bobby..

Deputy bj gladney says he went to the store with his family to buy some cleaner..... but what happened next.... was something that gladney and his family will never forget... they say memories never fade..... and those memories..... "had a bunch of ????canines, bodybuilding bunch of certificates all right here on the kitchen counter."

Are all that is left for deputy bj gladney.

It was last tuesday when deputy gladney received a phone call from a officer asking if he is ok.

A question that caught him off- guard.

"me my mom and my boys we went to go and try to find some lysol.

And on our way back i received a call from another fellow officer and he called me and asked me if i was ok and i was like yeah.

He was like man you don't understand your house was on fire i was like man i just left my house and once i pulled on the road i didn't see nothing but black visible smoke it was fully engulfed when i got here."

And when gladney arrived... he says all he could do at that moment was watch his home burn..

Man just sit back and let the fire department do they job.

I come up and advise them on what like where ammunition all was because there were numerous people out here and could no one get hurt you know.

So they retained what they could and we salvage what we could you know."

Now..

All that is left... are burnt objects that once completed a place he called home.

"pretty much right here was all my little boys toys.

All my deer heads.

Come back this way right here where the master bedroom.

This was where the master bedroom.

Pretty much from the looks of it that's where they think it started right there with the air conditioner was at.

That's where all the damage started at right here."

Me and my little boy just thank god..

Me and my little boy were out of here.

We just slept here the night before.

Just god will man."
