Portuguese father takes his kids 'surfing' during COVID-19 lockdown

A Portuguese father took his 12-year-old daughter and four-year-old son on a patio surf ride, using a skateboard and tent cover, during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Luis Rodrigues told Newsflare: "The children were sad because they could not surf because of the quarantine.

"With nothing to do I go to the garage and trip over a tent cover that was for the trash... I had an idea!!

Let's surf kids?!!

The children's smiles describe the feeling." The heartwarming footage was captured on April 11.

Portugal's lockdown, which shut most non-essential activities including surfing, will be lifted gradually from May 3.
