The group gave out 75 bags at the Love’s Truck Stop in Roseburg and 75 at the Seven Feathers truck stop in Canyonville.

Members of the myrtle creek elks lodge gave out 150 goodie bag?

To truck drivers today&to show their apperication as they work during the coronavirus pandemic.

Kezi 9 news reporter evita garza spoke to one of those truck drivers&.and she shows us why he grateful for the gesture.

Right now, he hauling lumber from roseburg to san bernadino, california.

He stopped at the love truck stop off exit 119 before heading out& and, he was surprised when a group of strangers gave him a bag full of "trucker goodies."?ie never seen anything like this before&anywhere ie gone?

That was members of the myrtle creek elks lodge.

They were posted at the loves truck stop and the seven feathers truck stop in canyonville all morning to give out trucker goodie bags.

00:46 evita:?one volunteer is keeping track of all the hometowns of the truckers they give these bags to.

As you can see, some of them have come as far as canada...and that why organizers wanted to give them these bags to help them on their journey?

Inside the bags, drivers found items like food, water, gift certificates and masks.

Co-organizer renee pechette says raised at least three thousand dollars worth of items in less than a month.

But, their only goal was to make the truckers feel appericated.

Wish we could hug them and say thank you, but this our way of saying thank you?

Deitrich says he feels like they reached their goal.?it shows that what wee doing&matters to people?

He says says this is something he'll never forget.
