And it's been busy.
Maple, three-year-old North American beaver, has been gathering branches and bringing it back to her den in this Portland zoo.
Video shared on social media documents Maple as she explores her surroundings, enjoys snacks along the way and picks up branches for her den.
Maple joined Filbert, Oregon Zoo's resident "branch manager" in March and the two are getting along well, the zoo said in an emailed statement.
Oregon Zoo is currently closed to visitors as part of efforts to slow the spread of coronavirus.
