London's congestion charge is back and will rise by 30 percent

London's congestion charge and ultra low emission zones were re-introduced on Monday (May 18).

Video filmed on Monday shows an area of Baker Street inside the zone.

The daily charge for driving inside the zone is also set to increase to £15 - an increase of 30 percent.

Income from fares for mayoral body Transport for London have fallen by 90 percent during the coronavirus lockdown, according to London mayor Sadiq Khan.

The rise comes into effect from June 22.
