He says georgia passed its peak when it comes to covid-19 cases.

And he says... the state is prepared for a potential second wave.

Governor brian kemp says these temporary pods are a great investment for the state.

He says durings times of crisis like the pandemic..

Hurricane or tornados..

These pods help with bed capacity.

While kemp visited the medical center navicent health and toured the toured the pods..

He said georgia already hit its peak but these pods help prepare hospitals for a potential second wave in the fall that medical professionals have mentioned.

"we can avoid a second wave if people continue to follow the guidelines.

If they continue to use common sense and be smart.

I know georgians can do that thats one reason i opened the state when i did, they learned a lot they did it they know what they need to do we cant keep fighting the virus from our living room."

Navicent ceo ninfa saunders says the number of covid patients are down and almost to pre-covid times.
