The effects of covid-19 on the economy is showing in numbers.

Georgia records an all-time high jobless rate in april, a time when many places were closed because of coronavirus.

We take a look at the county hit the hardest.

In april, many places were dealing with the spread of covid- 19 through stay-at-home orders.

And in that month the unemployment rate grew in all 50 states, including georgia.

Whitfield county had the highest jobless rate at 20.6 percent.

The dalton area jumped from 5.2 percent in march to 20.5 percent in april.
