Despite speculation that comets reid boucher could be chosen - the league went in a different direction.

Keep in mind - boucher was named the league's first all-star team left wing while mayhew was the second team left wing.

Comets head coach trent cull has said boucher "drives the bus for the team" and they're a different team with him in the lineup.

--- i'm not saying mayhew isn't deserving and obviously there are a lot more numbers at play here but i wanted to just dive into a few of them to give you a feel and let you decide.
