VARIOUS OF CYGNET IN SINK STORY: A cygnet which survived a predator attack which killed its siblings is being cared for by the Carolina Waterfowl Rescue in the town of Indian Trail.

Video shows the cygnet - named Hope - occupying a sink at the bird sanctuary on Tuesday (June 2).

Executive director at the waterfowl rescue, Jennifer Gordon, said Hope is a mute swan, which are considered pets in North Carolina as they are not a native species.
