The kentucky horse racing commission approving the agreement between the two tracks -- which allows churchill downs to take the last weekend of june racing to finish their spring meet.
This means -- live races will hit the tract at ellis park on july 2nd.
Following that -- with the exception of the weekend after july 4th --- there will be action every friday through sunday until labor day weekend.
