Singer-songwriter and native Alaskan Jewel can relate to those experiencing anxiety during the novel coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.

Now 46, Jewel left her abusive childhood home at 15 and eventually graduated from Michigan’s Interlochen Center for the Arts.

But at 18, she became homeless and lived with mental health conditions like debilitating panic attacks and agoraphobia: a fear of places or situations.
