Bagged Salads Recalled After Parasite Sickens Over 200 People Fresh Express issued the recall due to a possible contamination with Cyclospora, an intestinal parasite.

According to NBC News, over 200 people in 30 states and Washington, D.C., have gotten sick from the salads.

The recalled salads, which contain iceberg lettuce, red cabbage and carrots, are marked with the letter "Z" at the beginning of the product code.

According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), common symptoms include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, severe abdominal pain, body aches and fatigue.

The infection is typically treated with antibiotics.
