Some railroad tracks in lexington were told to turn off their air conditioning today.

Fireifghters say that's because a fire broke out along the tracks near angliana avenue this afternoon.... sending smoke into the air.

Firefighters believe heat caused a pile of railroad ties to catch fire.

No one at a nearby apartment complex had to evacuate.
