Hour we begin we begin this half hour with breaking news - as we seem to be in another holding pattern concering the federal execution of daniel lewis lee.

News 10's jordan kudisch is live at the prison in terre haute with the overnight developments.

Jon - just hours ago - the supreme court cleared the way for the resumption of executions of federal prison inmates.

However we received a copy of a letter from "the federal captial habeas project.".

It says that an appeals court ruling "overturning" a stay of "execution".... won't g into effect until "wednesday."

That means the "stay" of execution is "still in place."

Again that's according to the letter.

We still have not heard from "news 10's heather good."

Who is inside as a witness..

We are waiting to hear back from her.

That will clarify whether or not he was actually executed.

If executed..

"daniel lewis lee" was "to" receive a lethal dose of the powerful sedative "pento-barbital" at four this morning.

Once again - let's remind you of how "daniel lewis lee" got to this point.

In "19-99", a jury found him "guilty" of "killing" a family of "three" from arkansas an eight-year-old girl was among the victims. the d-o-j says ..

Lee and another man 'robbed' and "shot" them in "19-96."

Then, they covered their heads with "plastic bags", "weighed" them down with "rocks", and "threw" them int body of water.

Now - news 10's heather good was approved as a media witness to this execution.

We could hear from her at some point during our newscast.

If not - then certainly later today here on news 10.'
