Nidan Singh, the Afghan Sikh who was kidnapped a month ago in Afghanistan and released recently, arrived in Delhi on July 26.

He was accompanied by his family and a delegation of Afghan Sikhs.

Nidan Singh was kidnapped last month from a Gurdwara in Afghanistan and was released by his captor few days ago.

11 Afghan Sikhs, including Nidan, given short-term visa by Indian Embassy.

India has thanked the Afghanistan government for the safe return of Nidan Singh, who is among the people from minority communities facing persecution there.

Only a handful of Hindus, Sikhs and other communities are left in Afghanistan where their security situation has become more grim after the massacre in Gurdwara Guru Har Rai in Kabul earlier this year.
