L3: abc 36 news white infield ticket sales for derby temporarily stopped this morning... churchill downs announced it is temporarily stopping the sale of infield tickets to keep the derby crowd smaller.

The track says it is in response to the coronavirus pandemic... and keeping the crowd size down will be the best way to keep people safe.

Churchill downs was forced to postpone the derby to september 5th because of the virus.

According to the courier-journal newspaper.... delaying the derby cost the track $149 million dollars.
