Big changes happening in the college football world and more doubts if there will be a season this fall.

As of now - all indications are that the a-c-c continues to move forward with plans to hold a season this fall.

The big ten and pac-12 became the first of the power five conferences to announce the postponement of their fall seasons earlier today - with the hopes of playing in the spring.

The big-12 said it plans on moving forward with a season and the s-e-c has not announced any decision just.

The a-c-c released a statement today reiterating their process of making decisions based on medical advice and guidelines.

It said - in part: "the safety of our students, staff and overall campus communities will always be our top priority, and we are pleased with the protocols being administrated on our 15 campuses.

We will continue to follow our process that has been in place for months and has served us well.

We understand the need to stay flexible and be prepared to adjust as medical information and the landscape evolves."

Head coach dino babers said in a press conference yesterday that the team is still getting ready to play unless told otherwise.

Today - his players echoed that sentiment.

Tommy devito: our team is going to be ready no matter what happens because at the end of the day the players are not in control, the ncaa is in control as far as conferences so just letting everyone know that we are prepared for whatever happens next, whether it is this year, in the spring or next fall, we don't have a say but we are ready for whatever happens.

Chris elmore: right now we're just taking it day by day.

We are seeing everything that everybody else is seeing with a lot of different conferences opting out of the season and things like that.

All we can do right now is keep our focus on that first game and until they cut us off, treat every day like it's a normal day and treat everything like we are going to play that game.

After hearing health concerns from student- athletes regarding opponents covid protocols - syracuse decided to up its testing to twice per week for the football program if and when game weeks begin.
