A 35-year-old man had to be airlifted to safety by the Indian air force after becoming stranded in the middle of a flooded river in Chhattisgarh.
The footage, filmed on August 16, shows the man clinging onto a bush as the helicopter slowly lowers down towards him.
As the man is winched up, the onlooking crowd burst into applause and cheers.
According to locals, the man was stuck there for almost 14 hours.
