'Free Jaggi' protest takes place opposite 10 Downing Street against human rights violations in India

A "Free Jaggi" protest against human rights violations in India took place outside Downing Street, London, on August 19.

Demonstrators aim to highlight the treatment of Sikhs whose human rights have been violated in India and the UK's lack of involvement.

Specifically, Jagtar Singh Johal (Jaggi), a Sikh human rights activist from Scotland who was abducted, tortured and imprisoned by the Indian government.

One of the protestors, named Deep, said: "Jaggi has been accused of crimes he did not commit, and he has been held for over 1000 days".
