PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -- One couple opens a wine store on Carroll Street in downtown Perry, after having the company online based out of California.

41nbc's jatrissa wooten shares their story.

"we had to take the floor all the way down to the dirt" husband and wife-lannette and michael tomlin, opened clover wine merchant in downtown perry.

It's named after their granddaughter.

Michael says with years of experience in the food and beverage industry, and traveling back in fourth from california to georgia, perry is a good place for a business.

"there a need.there a need for any food and beverage downtown here in perry" "standup:" "siagalla, south africa, of course all of europe and greece" the interesting aspect about the wine store is, it's not a bar, and offers classes to learn about wines and their origin.

The tomlin's say they will have their first class wednesday night, and seating will be limited to 25 people.

"i want to take away the intimidation factor it should be fun it should be snobby but i do respect the high end part of it" michael says the bottles range from_ to_.

He says there is something for everyone.

According to lanette, they hand pick each bottle.

"we he is looking for particular wines.

Things he is looking at is the vintage, the varietal, the winemaker, the area or c1 3 b13 region and he take all this information and he is like that might make a good wine" clover wine according to tomlin... perry allows
