Cops drag a suspect off the edge off a bridge after he reportedly fled a DUI traffic stop and nearly ran over a police deputy.The incident took place on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, a cable-stayed bridge connecting Saint Petersburg in the US state of Florida to the unincorporated community of Terra Ceia in Manatee County.A car chase took place when the man sped away from a DUI (driving under the influence) traffic stop and nearly hit a deputy before getting out on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge and climbing on the edge of the barrier wall.In the helicopter footage, the police are seen chasing the suspect’s pickup truck on the bridge before a tyre apparently blows out and he is forced to get out of the vehicle.The man walks to the edge of the bridge and sits on the ledge as police officers surround him.While being distracted by one cop, another officer manages to grab him by the waist from behind and pull him off the edge.The suspect is then detained on the ground.
