The weekly increase is a relatively small one, but as the county nears a total of 35- hundred coronavirus cases since they started being counted in march, officials urge residents to stay vigilant with masking, sanitizing and distancing.

With nearly 10 percent of the county's total cases recorded in the last 14 days -- judy smith a department of public health administrator for the northern district -- said it's important to make sure people continue prevention efforts and remember the fight is not over.

"it is imperative that we do not get back to closing down things in this county, it is imperative that we take care of each other, if we do all the things we need to do.

This is not over, look at the states around us, look at the things that are going on, it is simply not over.

Again, we may have covid fatigue, but the virus does not.

Smith also added that fever and flu clinics are already reporting flu cases -- urging people to get their shots.

She says the health department will be hosting a drive thru clinic at the central baptist church on october 20th.
