As the daughter of the world-famous pizzaiolo Robert Caporuscio, many people doubted Giorgia Caporuscio for being a woman in a male-dominated profession.
Born and raised in Italy, she learned the art of Neapolitan pizza making under the expertise of her father before setting off on her own.
Making her way to the states, she became one of, if not the only female pizzaiola in the U.S. and was the youngest of only two women to ever win first place in the world’s largest pizza competition.
Today, she and her father teach the art of pizza making and feed hungry New Yorkers with some of the best pizza you can find in Manhattan at their restaurant, Kesté Pizza and Vino.
