Ocean Springs senior Haley Fox signs with Stetson University

Just like older sister Mikaila Fox signing with Virginia softball two years before her, younger sister Haley Fox is now officially a collegiate softball signee as well.

- prior to a junior season that - was mostly wiped out, by- covid-19... - the lefty slapper posted a .435- career batting average, - out of the lead-off spot... to- go along with 71 runs... 25 run- batted in... and 36 stolen- bases.- fox was also previously - committed to florida state, as- - - - a freshman... but eventually ha- a change of heart, over the - summer... leading her to a- different place... in the - sunshine- state.- - "whenever i committed to florid state, i was super-duper young.- i truly didn't know what i- wanted to do yet.

All i - - - - knew is that i wanted to play - some softball, and that's all i- knew.

I just didn't know what i- would be yet, and so after a- couple of years, i got to - thinking and i just realized- that- i wanted to do something more - and that i wanted to be - something big.

I- wanted to be a doctor.

And i- just realized stetson was the - place for me to be able to do - - - - that.

I'd be able to play some- high-level softball, division i- softball while getting- an exceptional education that - would put me in a better place- for what i would- be when i get older.

I'm- literally living the dream, - which is amazing."
