Senator Kamala Harris accepts the Democratic nomination for Vice President

Senator Kamala Harris has officially accepted the Democratic nomination for Vice President at the Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee. Ms Harris paid tribute to the people who have fought for racial equality for her historic nomination to the role, and her late mother who migrated as a student from India to the US when she was 19. She said Donald Trump has cost lives and livelihoods and said Americans had the chance to change the course of history at the November election.
