Hyundai Recalls Venue, Kona, Elantra Over EGR Valve That May Short Circuit

Hyundai Motor America has identified an issue affecting 13,511 examples of the 2024 Elantra sedan, Venue crossover, and slightly larger Kona. The manufacturer's American division says that an electrical short may occur in the EGR valve assembly, resulting in a sudden loss of drive power that – obviously – increases the risk of a crash.
