American Airlines is cutting flight attendant positions across its network – including those based at Raleigh-Durham International Airport. The airline plans to close its flight-attendant bases in both Raleigh-Durham and St. Louis, according to a memo penned by Jill Surdek, senior vice president of flight services for the airline. “This is a difficult decision affecting wonderful flight attendants well-known for their great service," she writes in the memo, made available to TBJ by the airline.…
