Houston Federation of Teachers recommends guidelines for reopening schools this fall

The Houston Federation of Teachers, a local teachers’ union, is recommending the Houston Independent School District not reopen for in-person instruction until there has been a decline in coronavirus cases for at least 14 consecutive days.  The full list of recommendations have been made in response to the state and HISD’s action — or what the HFT says is a lack thereof.  The list goes on to say that Harris County Covid-19 tests should be less than 5% positive and the county's transmission…
