Delta Air Lines is encouraging flight attendants to take as much as a year off unpaid or transition into other jobs within the company as the Covid-19 pandemic continues to decimate the travel industry. The airline told employees that because of decreased demand expected to last through 2021, at least 3,000 of Delta’s 20,000 flight attendants would need to take unpaid leave to avoid job cuts, CNBC reported.
