Methodology: Here’s how Business First calculates the Upstate rankings

Business First, a business newspaper based in Buffalo, has issued annual academic ratings of Upstate New York school districts since 2011. These ratings reflect the collective performance of each district’s public schools from kindergarten through 12th grade.
