The state on Monday announced a new round of grants to help stave off evictions in 17 Maryland jurisdictions. Gov. Larry Hogan awarded a total of $19.3 million — including a more than $6 million to Montgomery and Prince George's county eviction prevention programs — as the economic impact of Covid-19 continues to slam renters throughout the state.
