Rs 10,001 for brides in Uttarakhand who refuse to serve alcohol at weddings

Devprayag police in Tehri Garhwal district has decided to reward the brides who take a stand against serving alcohol at their weddings. The initiative has been taken in collaboration with gram pradhans who have been tasked with identifying such brides. The reward amount — Rs 10,001 — would be provided by the police personnel after pooling in money.
