Samba bids tearful adieu to slain teacher Rajni amid protests, NH blockade

A day after schoolteacher Rajni Bala, a resident of Samba and a Dalit Hindu, was gunned down outside her government school at Gopalpora in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district in yet another targeted killing by terrorists in the Valley, angry Samba locals bade her a tearful adieu on Wednesday while also registering their protest by blocking the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway. This was the seventh targeted killing in May.
