After AAP ‘in-principle’ support, Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann slams Uniform Civil Code (UCC)

Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday hit out at the BJP-led Centre over the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), saying that the saffron party had an agenda to talk about religion close to the elections. Mann’s reaction came seven days after AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak had, on June 28, said his party supported the UCC “in principle”.
