Manipur violence: MHA's 'one force one district' policy for better coordination in state

The Ministry of Home Affairs is conducting a massive redeployment exercise in Manipur, shuffling over 17,000 officers and personnel of central armed police forces. The objective is to establish a one-force-one-district arrangement for better coordination. The Border Security Force (BSF) will be solely deployed in certain districts, while the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will be deployed in others. Two other Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), will also be deployed in specific districts. The redeployment takes into account factors such as inter-district areas, existing logistics support, and command and control.
