Delhi-NCR air pollution: Wind slows down, AQI may turn 'severe' today

The Delhi-NCR region experienced a return of smoky haze due to the violation of firecracker restrictions during Diwali. The air quality index (AQI) in Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad worsened from "moderate" to "very poor" within 24 hours. Concentration of pollutants such as PM2.5 spiked, with levels exceeding the permissible limit. Similar trends were observed in other areas as well. The AQI in Delhi also increased, surpassing last year's levels. Experts predict that air quality will continue to deteriorate in the coming days.
