Barriers razed as 'pro-people' Revanth Reddy government assumes office

Revanth Reddy became the first Congress chief minister of Telangana. The official residence of the CM, Pragathi Bhavan, had its iron gates and barricades removed. Revanth, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, and 10 other ministers took the oath of office at L B Stadium. Prominent Congress leaders including Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi attended the swearing-in ceremony. The first cabinet meeting approved the six guarantees promised by Congress during the election campaign.
