Delhi: Heading for New Year party? Brace for traffic diversions and stricter checks

Elaborate arrangements have been made to check drunk driving and other traffic violations during the new year celebrations, with 250 police teams and 2,500 traffic cops deployed on the ground. Connaught Place will be out of bounds for the public, and only residents or those with a valid party entry pass will be allowed. The restrictions will be in place from 8pm till early morning. Keeping in mind the new Covid strain, pipes of breath analysers will be changed during checking.
