Addressing a gathering in Thoubal, Ali expressed his commitment as a politician to engage in this "significant initiative for unity and justice." Despite facing suspension from the BSP, Ali has actively aligned himself with the opposition, condemning the BJP and its policies. The BSP has distanced itself from both the BJP-led NDA and the opposition bloc INDIA.
