Cuomo: Coronavirus cases over 83,000 in NY; nearly 8,000 new positives overnight

The state, with nearly 8,000 new positives overnight and close to 2,000 deaths overall, continues to battle the rise of the COVID-19 infection. The apex of cases is expected at the end of April in New York. There are more than 17,000 confirmed cases on Long Island.
