Activists push back against Seattle police chief's letter to city council

Seattle Police Department Chief Carmen Best on Sunday night published a letter to the Seattle City Council asking for them to "forcefully call for the end" of tactics she accused protesters of the night before. Best said her home in Snohomish County "was targeted by a large group of aggressive protestors," late Saturday night. She said her neighbors and the Snohomish County Sheriff prevented the group from trespassing or engaging "in other illegal behavior in the area." There was no evidence that protesters had engaged in any illegal activity that night in the small Snohomish town.
